The next update to Objective Keystone will make managing the approval process when replacing existing content easier and faster.

For many of our customers, the Proposed Change feature is critical to business processes because it gives document owners the control they need to:

  • Manage multiple stakeholders to capture, review and approve changes without altering the master document content;
  • Whilst providing critical auditability and governance.

This allows document owners to demonstrate who proposed a change, who approved it, who made the change, and when.

Proposed Change also comes in handy when things don’t go to plan. If you’re in Financial Services, it may be when you’ve packaged multiple changes together in readiness for a new or updated product taking effect on a certain date; and then this planned change doesn’t go ahead.

When this happens, you can simply end the process, instead of having to go into the document and ‘undo’ several pieces of content – an onerous task that can take a really long time.

Introducing Proposed Change Auto-Apply (due for release December 2019)

One of the highlights of our latest 5.10 release is Proposed Change Auto-Apply. This new enhancement gives you the ability to schedule when your proposed change is going to replace the original content within your document.

Users will be able to see in the editor screen when a proposed change is scheduled. Approved users are able to change the schedule date or unscheduled it, in which case the state goes back to approved. Give it a go and let us know if it helps you manage your teams and processes!

Available now:

Microsoft Word Upload

Our new MS Word Upload engine makes it a lot easier to upload Word content into Keystone. You’ll notice improvements in importing bulleted lists, supported table styles and other document formatting. These enhancements are designed to speed up document onboarding when you discover new documents that need the governance Keystone provides.

Section Publish

Now you can publish a single section out of a document – handy for a quick review of how the section will look once it’s published.

Metadata Form Builder

Metadata Forms are now available to build in Version 5! You no longer have to go back to Version 4 to do this. We’ve also made improvements to capability and support for content by reference and image by reference question types. Image Upload Management – Now you can upload and manage multiple formats or versions of the same image, for example: high res, low res web images, CMYK, RGB, and so on. You’ll also have access to previous versions of your images.

The Keystone Log In Screen

Has had a facelift, bringing the UI in line with the rest of the Objective product suite. We look forward to bringing you more iterations to the UI in our future releases. The full list of bug fixes and improvements can be found in our Release Notes – you’ll find these in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen when you next log into Keystone.

That’s it for now – if you have any questions or comments don’t hesitate to reach out. Thanks for reading!
