Keeping up with regulatory change — and giving BCAs the tools to work more efficiently — is a key focus at Objective.
Recent legislative changes introduce a new framework for Small Standalone Dwellings (SSDs), enabling certain standalone homes (up to 70m²) to be built with a simplified regulatory pathway. The changes establish clearer criteria and processes, including the use of a Project Information Memorandum (PIM), while ensuring compliance with the Building Code and relevant planning rules. The intent is to make it easier and faster to deliver small dwellings, while maintaining appropriate oversight by councils.
The release of Small Standalone Dwellings (SSD) in Objective Build NZ provides a compliant, end-to-end workflow to help BCAs respond to legislative change and support the needs of New Zealand communities.
In this on-demand webinar, we walk through what’s new and what it means for your team, including:
- The SSD workflow in Objective Build
- How to manage SSD applications and records
- What’s included in the application
- What you need to do to get started
