Local Transport Plan
The Local Transport Plan 3 (LTP3) poses a greater number of challenges in its preparation than its predecessors. In addition to the extensive collaborative effort with borough and district councils that is required to draft and review the plan, there is now a new consultation requirement that involves both the public and a wide range of governmental and industry bodies. All of which has to be achieved in a climate of reduced budgets and heightened expectations, in line with the increased importance of Local Area Agreements and greater central government scrutiny.
Our solutions are used extensively by planning departments across the UK to produce their LTP documents within a structured framework that streamlines the creative process, facilitates easy collaboration between various contributors and provides an effective consultation platform to ensure that their plans comply with the requirements of LTP3.
The LTP3 strategy document consists of a number of documents, all of which can be produced in a coordinated way involving multiple contributors and stakeholders using our software. These include:

- Road safety
- Accessibility
In addition, the following appendices are also required:
- Implementation plan - which is refreshed every 3 years (in line with the Local Area Agreement)
- Sustainable Environmental Assessments (SEA)
- Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA)
