Local Strategic Partnership
The Local Strategic Partnership (LSP)and planning departments play a key role in shaping key strategies and plans, such as the Sustainable Community Strategy and the Local Development Framework. By working together collaboratively on these plans they can address local issues and make real, tangible improvements to people's lives.
Our software is used by many authorities to provide a collaborative platform that embraces this philosophy and enables them to achieve many of the key requirements of the partnership, including:
- The adoption of a corporate approach to planning and partnership by working through LSPs and placing these functions at the centre of the political and managerial processes
- Supporting joint consultation and engagement processes for the Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) and Local Development Framework (LDF) Core Strategy, including the development of a shared evidence base for the SCS and LDF Core Strategy
- Combining performance monitoring across the Local Area Agreement and LDF
- Integrated streamlined processes for the development of key strategies and area action plans
- Active involvement of elected members in both the SCS and LDF process
- Collaboration with Parishes and other neighbourhood structures and plans
- Involvement of the LSP in the sustainability appraisal for the LDF
