We are delighted to announce that the latest version of Objective Redact has just been released. To say we are excited is an understatement!

Many organisations and government agencies have a growing requirement to share digital documents while protecting the sensitive and identifiable data that are contained within these files. We understand the governance requirements organisations must adhere to and the disclosure risk they face if sensitive information is not redacted appropriately.

Objective Redact has been designed to meet those challenges! Our development team has been working hard to refine our solution and deliver further improvements to the user interface, significant performance enhancements and made a number of improvements that were highlighted in responses from a recent customer survey we conducted. We listened to many of the requests that were made and will continue to implement and innovate around our customers' needs.

The following enhancements have been introduced in the latest version of Objective Redact:

Improved User Interface
The User Interface (UI) in our finalisation screen has been improved to make it easier to customise managing the redacted document ahead of its output.

We've also evolved our UI so that you can customise whether you would like to view the files before or after the output process, whereas previously redacted files were automatically viewed before the output process.

Finalisation and Output
The latest release significantly reduces the redacted file size during the final stage of digital redaction.Previously, the redaction process changed the size of the original file, and that may cause issues with attaching redacted documents to email, especially the larger documents. This improvement has closed the gap between the original and the redacted document.

This version of Objective Redact now has the ability to toggle the searchability of a redacted document at finalisation, including for watermarked documents.

One last improvement is that we now have the ability for all output files – redacted, audit, working and reports – to be saved in a location of your choice, including the same location as the original document.

Exemption Reference Codes for FOI and other Legislative Requirements
The latest version of Objective Redact has enhanced the way exemption code groups are named and classified to be consistent across the full range of exemption codes provided. This makes it easier to search for the correct reference and apply it to the redaction within the document.

There have also been additional exemption code groups for Australia and New Zealand introduced into Objective Redact, so that the appropriate pieces of legislation can be accurately applied.

Several other updates have been made so that your experience of Objective Redact is smooth and easy.
