Product Management

Position Overview

As Product Manager for Enterprise Applications you will be responsible for managing and delivering products that engage end users, providing fast, easy access to content across the organisation. The product manager role reports directly to the General Manager for Product Management.

Our goal is to deliver products and solutions that enable our government customers to improve services and effectiveness through better and more open information governance, collaboration and process management. The product management team drives our product strategy and roadmap through close interaction with customers, the marketplace and stakeholders.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy and roadmap.
• Investigate market problems and assess viability of possible solutions.
• Define product requirements with prioritised features and corresponding justification.
• Work with Engineering team to define dependencies and timelines and provide ownership during product development.
• Coordinate alpha and beta programs including seeding early stage products and samples.
• Be informed and act as an internal expert with respect to competitive products and market trends.
• Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product in conjunction with Marketing.
• Support sales and delivery efforts to ensure product and customer success.

Technical Competencies

• 7+ years of experience within the software industry.
• Experience defining products for web and mobile based delivery with a strong focus on delighting end-users.
• Experience working within a defined product management methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines, making intelligent and informed tradeoffs.
• Ability to define clear market-driven product requirements and interact closely with Engineering teams to deliver new capabilities.
• Desire and capability to travel as required –likely frequency of two short trips monthly.

Expected Commercial Profile

• Tertiary qualification in an Information Technology discipline.
• Previous experience as a Product Manager or Product Evangelist, managing and delivering enterprise software products.
• Experience in delivering commercial software products, ideally across multiple application models (distributed, desktop, web, mobile, cloud).
• Experience working with SharePoint and other collaborative software tools is highly desirable.
